Registration
How do I get started registration?
You can register yourself by visiting the portal at
https://nplt.in
. You can see “
My Account
” link on the top right side of the home page. Click on “My Account” and then “Register” to go to the registration page.
Who can register?
Anyone can register on the web portal. However, you have to classify yourself into one of the following categories. Individual, Indian Academic Researcher, Indian Startup, Indian MSME, International Researcher, MNC / Foreign Entity / Other.
What should I expect after registration?
When you register on the web portal by filling the required details, your details will be verified by the backend team after which you will be able to use all the features of the webportal.
How to get resources from NPLT portal?
There are mainly two ways to locate the resources. One, is by searching the resources on the web portal. Second is to navigate the resources yourself by going through different categories and then different resources under each category. User will see if the searched/ identified resource is available for free or on payment basis. You may be able to see/download/use the sample of the resources which interests you before purchasing that resource .

Unable to download resource?
We are sorry for you for facing this issue. While we have taken great care in giving best experience to the users of NPLT portal, we would be happy to resolve any issues associated with downloading the resource. You may please contact us at tech-support[AT]nplt[dot]in or call us at 1800 1234 5678.
Is there any delivery charges?
Yes and No. It depends on the size of the resource being downloaded or purchased. User will be able to see if the selected product will be delivered via physical media at user's registered postal address.
Cancellation of order?
Please refer to our “Cancellation, Return and Refund Policy” available on the webportal.
No. of resource request in a year per user.?
Currently, there is no restriction on number of resource requests a user can make.
My tool is not working or error in tool, what should I do?
For any technical help related to resources downloaded or purchased, you can write to or contact the owner/ contributor of the resource. Details of the owner/ contributor are made available at the time of purchasing/ downloading the resources. You can also see the details of the owner from your purchase history.

Dispute Settlement?
All disputes related directly to resources downloaded or purchased by the user are to be settled directly between the user/purchaser and the resource contributor/ owner. Disputes related to NPLT portal and its use are to be settled as per the clauses mentioned in "
Terms and Conditions for use of website
" available on this web portal.
Category StartUp
What are the requirements to register as a StartUp user?
The prerequisites for registration for Startup User: “Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP) number” and other information needed (eg. Name, Email, Contact number & PAN Number).
Am I getting any discount for purchasing resources as a StartUp user?
Yes. Currently, registered and verified DPIIT recognized startups are entitled to free download of resource(s) available on NPLT portal.
Category MSME/MNCs/Foreign Entities
What are the documents required to register as an MSME?
Please note that registration for MSME/MNCs/Foreign Entities/International Academic Researchers users will open very soon.
Information required specific to Indian MSME “Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum (UAM) number” is used to verify MSME. MSME user will be asked to fill valid UAM No, PAN No of Organisation, and other information required (Eg. Name, Email, Contact number).
Information required specific to MNC / Foreign Entity / Other(Organization Name, E-Mail-Id, Contact No, Authorized Person Name)
Am I getting any discount for purchasing resources ?
Yes. Resources available on NPLT portal are priced at discounted rates. The exact cost of each resource will be shown to the user after logging into the portal.

Can payments be made online?
Yes. Online payment is highly recommended as it will speed up the purchase process.
Other Payment options available?
Yes. Credit card, net banking and other various payment options are there .
Cancellation and Return
Which products are not eligible for returns?
Unfortunately, due to the nature of the resources, none of the items/ products purchased from NPLT are eligible for returns.
I ordered a wrong item. Can I return it?
Unfortunately, No. Due to the nature of the resources there is no facility to return any item purchased from NPLT portal. Hence, it is advisable to select the resource carefully, evaluate it by downloading using sample of the resource and then decide on the purchase process..

Who do I contact for technical support with a solution purchased in the NPLT?
For any technical support and possible solution, you should contact the contributor(s)/ owner(s) of the resources(s) purchased. Details are available on NPLT portal in your dashboard.
How NPLT ensures the quality of the data?
NPLT/ C-DAC does not provide any assurance about any aspect of the resource(s). The resource(s) contributed by various contributor(s) are provided on “as is available basis”. User(s) can try sample resource before ordering it. Post purchase issues (if any) should be directed to contributor(s)/ owner(s) of the resources. you should contact the contributor(s)/ owner(s) of the resources(s) purchased. Details are available on NPLT portal in your dashboard.
